About SpecFits

SpecFits is a free reference site that answers one question: will this part work in my device? We cover batteries, light bulb bases, fuses, fasteners, and cables.

What we do

Replacing a CR2032 coin cell, picking the right HDMI cable, or finding out whether a GU10 bulb fits your recessed light — these are simple questions that can be surprisingly hard to answer online. Most results are thin lists or seller pages that bury the answer in product copy.

SpecFits publishes direct, accurate compatibility information: the standard specification, what it means, what fits, and what doesn't. Each page aims to answer the question completely without requiring further searching.

How our content is created

Our content is written and reviewed by the editorial team at SpecFits. We base our specs on manufacturer documentation, industry standards (IEC, ANSI, and others), and direct product testing where practical. We update pages when standards change or corrections are needed.

We do not accept payment to feature, recommend, or alter compatibility information. Our guides reflect actual standards, not commercial relationships.

Advertising

SpecFits is free to use and is supported by display advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content and never influence our compatibility ratings or recommendations.

Accuracy and corrections

Hardware specifications can vary by manufacturer, region, and model year. While we strive for accuracy, SpecFits information is provided for general reference. Always verify the specification printed on your existing component before purchasing a replacement, especially for safety-critical applications like smoke detectors, fuses, and electrical fittings.

If you notice an error, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
